Branching Out Theme of the Week: Keeping Cool
The summer sun has been happily warm this year and the children have been enjoying water play, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, hula hoops and many other memorable summer activities. This week we talked about how people, animals and plants cool off when they are too hot. We compared how hot and cool water feel differently on our skin, how things melt differently in the sun and shade and how quickly water evaporates on hot pavement vs. cool. So many neat things to learn about this week! How do you keep cool in the summer? Share some ideas and we’ll be sure to try them out!
