Often considered the beginning of a child’s academic years, the activities and experiences planned during the preschool years are intended to help children learn how to solve problems, make choices, and respect themselves as well as their friends.
To foster curiosity and the love of learning, art, music, sports, group games, dramatic play, and language activities are part of the daily activities offered. Language, math and science activities help build a foundation for future success. Children begin to learn about their community and appreciate the uniqueness they each hold.
Children are grouped in classrooms according to their development and age. Repetition of familiar activities with more intentional participation by the classroom staff allows for deepening of skill development. The curriculum is based on the concrete knowledge preschoolers possess and builds from there. Each room is equipped with detailed interest areas and challenging materials.
