Staff & Credentials Job Opportunities Dear Families,After ten years and three kids in the child care circuit, I found there was much more to be done to make this nearly ten-hour-per-day commitment a more positive experience for all family members involved. The Generations concept is the result of my desire to help families.Founded in 1993, Generations is committed to accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NYAEC) in all our centers, and we are on schedule to meet that goal. The need for care outside the home is not an issue faced just by families with children, but is also a concern for families with older parents and relatives. An ageing population has driven us to look for more choices. Our goal at Generations is to offer programs that serve both groups. Bringing children and seniors together has so many advantages! When I was a young girl, I always looked forward to being with my grandmother. We would play cards and drink root beer with mini-marshmallows. She taught me how to sew, and I helped her with some of the chores that were difficult for her. It was an extremely positive experience in my life. Welcome to Generations, where we strive to be a reassuring part of your familys balancing act. Bridget Shumway
